The analysis is performed using an electrochemical method based on an enzymatic reaction.
Only a very small amount of blood is required for sampling – just 0.3 µl – obtained through capillarity.
The analysis process starts automatically when the capillary absorbs exactly 0.3 µl of blood (the device does not require pressing a start button) and delivers the result in just 15 seconds.
The test strips are individually packaged in aluminum foil with their own desiccant, not in jar-type containers. (Tests are purchased separately!)
The device can store up to 330 results and automatically calculates the average of the recorded values.
Being thermostatically controlled, the device ensures consistent accuracy regardless of ambient temperature.
The coefficient of variation is below 3%, ensuring excellent reproducibility of results.
Stored data can be transferred to a computer and viewed in Excel (data cable available optionally).
Calibration is automatic and occurs when each test strip is inserted.
